Summer All-stars

Summer All-Stars is where Five Cities' top rec players come together to represent the league in tournament play.
Each summer, players from our spring recreational divisions are selected to All-Star teams that compete in C-level tournaments hosted by USA Softball leagues across the Sacramento area, typically 3 to 4 tournaments in June and July. It's a step up in competition, and the same philosophy applies: athletes first. Selection is earned through effort, attitude, and development during the spring season and through a league-ran tryout.
What Players Gain
All-Stars builds on everything spring rec teaches, at tournament speed:
- Competing against the best players from leagues across the region
- Handling pressure in games that count
- Raising the standard for effort, focus, and preparation
- Representing the five cities and wearing the league name with pride
- Bonds that come from a summer of ball together
More than Softball
Tournament ball tests players in new ways, and our coaches keep the priorities straight. That means every All-Star:
- Is developed, not just deployed, with coaching that continues through summer
- Learns to compete hard and lose with class when it happens
- Is pushed to her next level, whatever level she starts at
- Has fun, because that's still the point
Built by the five cities
Our All-Star teams carry the five cities name into every tournament, and the community travels with them. The same families that fill the stands in spring caravan to summer tournaments, and there's nothing like a Five Cities cheering section on a July Saturday.
